The guiding case design, the main carrier of classroom teaching, plays an important role in the educational teaching. As it conforms to the trend of the new curriculum reform, thus high school ideological and political teachers to do a good job in guiding case design is not only beneficial to improve the level of students’ independent learning and teachers’ professional level, and to carry out effective classroom and optimizing teaching. This thesis is guided by the advanced educational concepts, the spirit of the new curriculum reform, and my student teacher experience in high school ideological and political course education on the basis of teaching practice, this paper discusses the current situation of high school ideological and political course guiding case design, reason, and combined with some of the ideological and political teachers’ guiding case design and its requirements and principles put forward the corresponding optimization countermeasures, for ideological and political teachers in the guiding case provide useful reference in design. The paper composed of an introduction and four parts:The introduction introduces the background and significance of the research, the domestic research summary, research ideas and research methods.The first part defines some basic concepts as teaching plans, learning case, guiding case and high school ideological and political course guiding case design, which helps to expounds the importance of the high school ideological and political course guiding case design, namely: to highlight the students’ subject status, to transform teachers’ teaching mode and students’ learning mode, to ease the burden of teachers and students, to teach students in accordance with their aptitude and to promote teachers’ professional development.The second part analyses some classical guiding case design presents some drawbacks of guiding case design in high school ideological and political course:being ill-targeted and stereotyped, improper material selection, formalization, lack of individuality.The third part expounds two main reasons for the problems in high school ideological and political course guiding case design. The internal causes mainly lies in the teachers. Firstly some teachers underestimate the importance of it; secondly some teachers fail to grasp the essence of the main idea and the content; thirdly some teachers are not professional enough to grasp the designing principle. While the external causes is the lack of monitoring system.The fourth part put forward some strategies to optimize the guiding case design of the high school ideological and political course, which include changing educational concepts to improve the consciousness of guiding case design; grasping the content and essentials to ensure the rationality; following the principle of design, to ensure the scientificalness; improving teachers’ competence to promote teachers’ professional development; making effective guiding case design management and monitoring assessment system.
