With the acceleration of modernization, a large number of rural surplus labor pouring into cities, brought strong driving force for social and economic development. Migrant farmers, to the city to the source of continued prosperity, but they left a lot to rural problems. Limited to economic factors, such as many migrant workers can keep their children in the countryside, the parent-child long-term separation of produced a large group of rural left-behind children. At present, is in the industrialization, the rapid advance of urbanization in the new stage of social development, rural left-behind children groups to exist within certain period of time for a long time and expand. Rural left-behind children is both parents or one party migrant workers, resulting in its care left-behind children are still inadequate. At the present stage of rural left-behind children consists of single custody, guardianship of the grandparents, other relatives care or peer and self care traditional guardianship type, such as traditional guardianship type has many disadvantages, not for the education of left-behind children learning, mental health and behavior and social adaptation and so on carries on the comprehensive and systematic care and supervision.Based on traditional rural left-behind children guardianship type problems, combined with actual needs of the development of rural social economy, left-behind children guardianship type produced private institutions. Private institutions guardianship type is a useful complement to the traditional guardianship type, but also there are some prominent problems. Private institutions guardianship type is difficult to meet the emotional needs of the left-behind children, also does not favor the left-behind children’s good behavior habits.In this paper, based on the left-behind children problem consciousness, try from the perspectives of left-behind children guardianship type this exploration to improve and to solve the problem of left-behind children. In on different kinds of custody, on the basis of literature review, select a public elementary school in Hubei province as the investigation object, design questionnaire, collecting left-behind children guardianship type related data, using independent sample T test method, the traditional monitoring and private institutions monitoring type empirical study, and finally put forward countermeasures and Suggestions to improve the left-behind children guardianship type. The article concrete is divided into four parts. The first part:introduction, the first chapter, including the research background, research purpose and significance, literature review, research design, etc. The second part:the theoretical analysis part, namely chapter2, theoretical analysis of the rural left-behind children guardianship type including several kinds of main types of traditional guardianship monitoring type and private institutions. Part iii: the empirical research part, that is, the third chapter, using the questionnaire survey to collect data, and the present situation of left-behind children are described, the effect of different monitoring type independent samples t test, find out the reasonable part and the existing problems. The fourth part:the conclusion part, namely chapter four, research conclusion and the countermeasures and Suggestions, try to optimize the traditional guardianship type, multiple institutions innovation synergy guardianship type.In this paper, we study the conclusion is: out of ten, rural left-behind children learning, psychology, behavior and social adaptation, four aspects:the mean score of8.1376,7.3933,8.7640,7.8596, respectively. Compared with traditional guardianship type, private institutions under the guardianship type of left-behind children learning and social adaptation condition is better, but the private sector under guardianship type left-behind children’s mental and behavior status is poorer, namely private monitoring institutions and traditional monitoring types have their own advantages and disadvantages, but they have their respective problems.
