Since the founding of New China, as China’s economic take-off and rising international status, foreign language education has been vigorous development. Especially in the last two decades, the number of people who learns Chinese has rapidly increased. What’s more, Chinese-learning population expands rapidly from adults to teenagers and children. However, the research of teaching foreigners Chinese has been focused in the face of adult teaching. Teaching Chinese for children had been hardly concerned. This area is still in the initial exploratory stage.I hope that by the exploration and research of Barcelona Kids Chinese courses, I can develop a set of targeted, adaptable teaching model to guide Chinese teachers overseas and provide some valuable information for the area of teaching Chinese overseas.This article is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction. Research focuses on the significance of the paper, study and research methods.The second chapter is a literature review. This part shows some of the existing research on the teaching mode in the field of teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language Teaching and children’s children.The third chapter is to show some of the problems existing in the teaching process of Barcelona Kids Chinese courses. First, the kind and the curriculum of the Chinese Courses for children determine that children do not have enough time to study Chinese. Second, the goal of the courses is not successfully achieved. And what’s more, there are many defects in the traditional teaching mode. All of these problems prompted the author on how to solve these problems and address these issues further thought.The fourth chapter describes the concept of the theory of "Section Teaching Mode", focusing on the definition, the theoretical basis this teaching mode relies on, teaching principles, teaching methods and experimental verifications which finally confirms the validity of "Section Teaching Mode".At the end of this part, there is a comprehensive study of this teaching mode’s positive effects on children and how highly evaluated it is by teachers. The last part concludes the paper. It summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of "Section Teaching Mode" and makes some prospects to overseas children’s Chinese teaching. Hope that there can be more effective teaching theories coming out to serve teaching.
