The academic stress on high school students usually makes them exhausted. That learning-burnout is quite common in high school has been confirmed by many studies. Improving self-control ability can help to reduce the situation. Controlling one’s mood, behavior and thinking can effectively reduce learning-burnout. This research is gonging to know the current situation of learning-burnout and self-control of students in senior high school and if there is difference between the two aspects. In addition, we also want to know the relationship of learning-burnout and self-control.We investigated550senior high school students using High School Students Burnout (HSSB) Questionnaire and Questionnaire of Middle School Student’s Self-control Ability. Both questionnaires have higher reliability and validity. We get results as following:(1) The self-control ability of High School Students is in middle-upper level and there are no significant differences in gender, branches or residence.(2) There is a significant difference in grade:best in grade one, secondly in grade three, worst in grade two. And the students in grade one is significantly better than grade three.(3) There’s no significant gender difference in any dimensions of self-control ability. However, significant difference exists between grades:grade one is significantly better than grade three. Grade two is the worst. Thinking control in grade one is the best, which is significantly better than grade two. Secondly in grade three, worst in grade two.(4) The learning-burnout of High School Students is in middle-downer level and there are no significant differences in gender or residence.(5) There are significant differences in gender. Male’s emotion exhaustion is obviously higher than that of female.(6) There are significant differences in the dimensions of learning-burnout:emotion exhaustion in grade two is the highest. Secondly in grade one, lowest in grade three. Low study efficacy in grade two is the highest, obviously higher than that in grade three. In addition, Low study efficacy in grade one is obviously higher than grade three.(7) There are significant differences between students of arts and science in the alienative relationship between students and teachers, physiological depletion and learning-burnout.(8) Self-control and all its factors achieve significantly negative correlation with learning-burnout and its four factors.
