The belief in mathematics and the ability to choose mathematics learning are the key factors affecting students'math learning.This research mainly uses the questionnaire survey method to explore the correlation between the mathematics cognition beliefs and the mathematics learning choice ability of high school students,hoping to provide some references for high school mathematics teaching and promote the development of students.The study found that the mathematics cognition beliefs of senior high school students are generally at an upper-middle level,the mathematics learning beliefs are better,and the mathematics knowledge beliefs are weak.In terms of gender differences,boys are slightly higher than girls,but the difference is not significant.There are significant differences in learning levels,and there is a positive correlation with academic performance.The overall mathematics learning choice ability presents an intermediate level,which is weaker than the belief level.Students have good reflection awareness and judgment ability,but poor specific selection and implementation ability.Through analysis of specific items,it is guessed that this may be related to the students'inadequate grasp of the basis of the solution and the scope of application.Except for the reflective choice behavior dimension,all other dimensions have significant differences in gender.There are significant differences in learning levels,and there is a positive correlation with academic performance.There is a significant correlation between the mathematics cognition belief and the mathematics learning choice ability of the students in senior one.The correlation coefficient is 0.445.There is also a significant correlation between the specific part of the dimensions.Through regression analysis,it is found that the regression model established with learning method(X5)and learning ability(X3)as independent variables and mathematics learning selection ability(Y)as dependent variable is the best.The regression equation is Y=0.191X5+0.396X3+1.202,but it can be carried out using the model.The explained percentage is 35.4%,indicating that there may be other influencing factors.Based on the survey results,the research puts forward four teaching strategies:(1)Conduct hierarchical teaching to cultivate self-efficacy;(2)Promote inquiry-based teaching and present the thinking process;(3)Pay attention to the teaching of one problem with multiple solutions,and encourage diverse solutions;(4)Use concept map teaching to improve the cognitive structure of mathematics.The first two points are to improve the learning choice ability by improving the mathematics learning ability and the belief in the way of mathematics learning respectively,and the last two points are dedicated to further cultivating the learning choice ability.
