Research On Cultivating The Sense Of Social Responsibility Of University Students In Xinjiang

As the reform and openness go deeper, there is a tremendous transformation insocial, economic, political and cultural structure and also there emerge a dividedsocial stratum, a diversified interests subjects and a neterogeny culture. These factsmake a huge impact on the current university students, especially the ones inXinjiang. These students as a very important and special group are the future andhope of nation, shouldering the sacred historical mission. In fact, whether thestudents have a strong responsibility not only concerns the construction of socialismwith Chinese characteristic, the building of a well-off society and the realization ofrejuvenating Chinese Nation, but is also closely related to the progress of studentsthemselves. This paper uses approaches of literature collection, questionnaire surveyand statistical analysis to have an overall research of the currents university studentsin Xinjiang. Here, I deploy my account from three aspects:First, the paper explores the relevant concepts related to the sense of socialresponsibility and then makes an explicit definition of these concepts according tothe existing research fruits. The relevant concepts will be extended to the content andthe theoretical basis of the sense of social responsibility of current university students,as well as the practical significance of strengthening it.Second, it uses the statistics of field investigation as the main basis to explorethe currents situation of the sense of social responsibility of university students. Thecurrents situation includes the positive aspects and existing problems. Starting theresearch from the existing problems in university students, I will explore the reasonsfor the lack of their social responsibility, which can be summarized into four points:the reasons from individual, family, campus and society.Third, it presents the countermeasures that should be taken to strengthen thesense of social responsibility in university students. The countermeasures includefour aspects which are taken according the respective four reasons leading to theexisting problems of the sense of social responsibility. They are the strengthening ofthe responsibilities of individual, family, society and state.
