Postgraduates often have employment anxieties under the severe employmentpressure,past research explored more of relations on coping style and anxiety ofemployment,but less for study of personality characteristics and employment anxiety,therefore, to explore the relationshiip among personality traits, coping style and anxietyof employment, exploring the effects of both postgraduates employment anxiety. Thispurpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between personalitycharacteristics,coping style and employment anxiety based on a questionnaire withEPQ,CSQ and CDMAQP.The results showed that:1.Postgraduates have employment anxiety, and the various factors of anxiety in thefollowing order: employment competitive pressures, lack of employment guidance,worring career choice, concerning about working conditions, doing harm to self-esteem,family stress, lack of self-confidence.2.On the basis of sex, whether or not one child, school classes, work experience,family sources have vary significant difference for postgraduates ’ employment anxietylevels.3.It showed that extraversion was a significantly positive correlate of maturitycoping styles and it was a significantly negative correlate of immaturity coping styles.Itexisted significantly negative correlation between neuroticism,psychoticism and copingstyles of solve the problem.It existed significantly positive correlate betweenneuroticism,psychoticism and coping styles of self-blame, fantasy.4.It showed that extraversion was a significantly negative correlate of employmentanxiety.It showed that neuroticism and psychoticism was a significantly positivecorrelate of employment anxiety.5.There existed significantly negative correlate between coping styles of solve theproblem and employment anxiety.It showed that immaturity coping styles was asignificantly positive correlate of employment anxiety.6.It existed significantly related to personality traits, coping styles and employmentanxiety of postraduates’. While postgraduats demographic variables, personalitycharacteristics and coping styles on employment anxiety58.5%predictive power.
