The Analysis On The Influence Of The Emotion Development Among University Students On Effectiveness Of The Ideological And Political Education

Nowadays, ideological and political education in universities have madeperformances under the guidance and attention of the government, but the actualresults are not that satisfactory due to some reasons. The efforts made have not led tothe results expected, and the effects of which vary from university to university.Statistics show that35%of those surveyed regarded such education helpful, while thenumber of those who considered such education futile is far more than the former.Such reality is revealed through the research and therefore, it is an urgent task toexplore how the effectiveness of ideological and political education of universitystudents could be advanced efficaciously.The effectiveness of ideological and political education of university studentsattaches importance to the extent to which the goal of ideological and politicaleducation is fulfilled, and the ultimate goal is the unity of social and personal valueand then the overall development of individuals. In fact, although university studentshave the strong desire for politics and careers, they also have problems such asutilitarianism, disorder in behavior, psychological diseases and etc, which result in thedeficiency of effectiveness of ideological and political education.As the inherent impetus of ideological and political education, the root of value in practice and the logic origin of humanistic concern, my thesis attempts to explorethe needs of emotion development of university students from the perspective of thecondition of psychological development, and the association with the advancement ofideological and political education, and then seek the new way for ideological andpolitical education of university students. In order to have a command of the currentsituation and the actual needs of emotion development of university students, Iconducted a survey on the network platform of the commercial website"Wenjuanxing", which created a relaxing atmosphere on the cyberspace for theuniversity students living in the information era.180students participated in mysurvey who were randomly selected from5universities in Shanghai. The surveyincluded topics of specific emotional problems of university students, for instance,love, responsibility, personal goal and so on. The results revealed that universitystudents are indifferent towards family love; are longing for friendship but do notcherish it; have the aspiration to contact with the opposite sex but do not voice theiremotion; are lacking in responsibility; have a vulnerable state of mind.My survey reveals directly the needs of emotion development among universitystudents in the modern society and strongly supports the research on the advancementof the effectiveness of the ideological and political education. Measures should betaken to facilitate the education of emotion development and humanistic concerntogether with peer assistance, to reform the system and the overall quality ofeducators, and to create a good atmosphere in the society, family, university andnetwork. In this way, the goal of the unity of social and personal value and theadvancement of the effectiveness of the ideological and political education amonguniversity students can be achieved ultimately on such basis.
