With the rapid economic and social development, we need more talented people to undertake the mission of modernization. They should not only be equipped with professional knowledge but the sophisticated emotional skills as well. Consequently, as a counterpart to cognitive education, the affective education plays an indispensable part in a comprehensive education system. The Ideological and Political course, when compared with other subject, naturally becomes the perfect platform to practice the affective education thanks to its innate sentiment resources. Under such circumstance, the affective education in the Ideological and Political course calls for drastic measures to improve and strengthen the current situation. This paper adopts the document, theoretical experiment and empirical rule as its methodology. Altogether, it can be subdivided into three parts. The first part deals with the connotation and definition of the affective education in high school Ideological and Political course. The second part mainly discusses the problems within and tries to find explanations for them. The last part are about countermeasures to tackle the problems related to the affective education.
