More than30years since the implementation of the reform and opening policy, China’s economy has maintained rapid development; its international status has risen and foreign exchanges have become increasingly frequent. More and more foreigners come to China after the Olympic Games and the World Expo held successively in China, and learning mandarin is prevalent around the world. Business Chinese, a very practical Chinese, plays an increasingly role in Sino-foreign economic and trade activities. There are still many problems in current business Chinese teaching materials, which can hardly meet the need of a variety of learners. As a concrete manifestation of the overall design and the main source of second language learners to acquire, the textbook occupies a very important position in the language learning. Therefore, the study of the compilation of teaching materials is extremely meaningful. On the basis of the characteristic of business Chinese, this thesis aims to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these two materials of the two universal primary business Chinese teaching materials-"Practical Business Chinese"(revised edition) and "Practical Business Chinese" by comparative study, and. strive to learn from each other.Firstly, this thesis clearly states the concept and position of business Chinese, and rationalizes the relationship between business Chinese and ordinary Chinese as well as Chinese culture, therefore summarizes business Chinese characteristics. Second, this thesis analyzes and compares these two textbooks form the aspects of the applicable objects, the purpose of teaching, main ideas, vocabulary, dialogue, grammar, exercises, and culture. On the basis of the general principles of compiling business Chinese textbooks and characteristics of business Chinese, it is to find out the advantages and disadvantages of these textbooks. Applying statistical method to analyze business topics, vocabulary and grammar of the two textbooks and identify differences; grammar of the two books follows the principle of "desalination grammar, to strengthen verbal communication"; each piece of dialogue and essay is followed by key words, sentences and words with corresponding English interpretation and translation, and thus it is more convenient for learners to master; the two books connect Business Communication Culture with Chinese knowledge and make a good combination of Chinese culture and financial business communication in text; in addition, the editors of the two books compile corresponding exercises based on the respective applicable objects and teaching requirements, and add some additional business knowledge, including menu, customs, Practical Writing, and business case, in the appendix of each lesson, which helps to the expand the mandarin and cultural knowledge of users.Finally, through detailed analysis and summary of the above sections, Commercial Chinese Teaching Materials should follow six principles and a five-point strategy from both macro and micro aspects of primary Business Chinese preparation of teaching materials. Macro can fully absorb and learn from the advanced concept of language preparation of teaching materials, To strengthen the teaching materials targeted levels, practical and interesting, so that the materials more scientific and reasonable. The micro level, we can create a real and concrete business scenarios, to try a variety of written in a way, such as:the form of Sino-foreign co-edited. Business Chinese Test and Textbook Compilation also want to combine the use of modern preparation technology. In addition, we should strengthen the training and exercise of learners’intercultural communicative competence, effective integration of the knowledge of Chinese and Chinese culture, so that learners understand more accurately and comprehensively through. Understanding of the alien language features and acquisition law, starting from the perspective of the learner, to set the proper recitation exercises and situational dialogues, the words should be given accurate interpretation and examples, especially the key word and proper nouns. At the end, I hope that this thesis can make contribution to the preparation of future business Chinese textbook, and I will be very pleased.
