With the vigorous development of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages,all types of Chinese textbooks are compiled and composed.Along with China’s rapid economic development and progress in the business and financial sectors,foreign students show special interest in not only overall and integrated education about Chinese,but also Business Chinese,which has been another priority for universities and faculties.Business Chinese writing is one of those most significant sessions.Though Business Chinese writing has made huge achievements during the past two decades,some shortcomings still remain in recently-published textbooks.This paper deliberately chooses four different textbooks published recently,which varied in writing modes and ideas,and tries to give a comparative analysis under the instruction of Cunningworth,Mcdonough and Shaw,Breen and Candlin’s evaluation theory and with the help of different teaching philosophy.Via turning to the characteristics of today’s mainstream Business English writing textbooks,this paper hopes to provide some conclusive instructions and help to composition of future Business Chinese Writing.This paper consists of six chapters.Chapter 1 is preface,a part introduces the background,reason,scope,method and usefulness,showing the core of this paper;Chapter 2 is the literature review,describes the achievements and results of predecessors’ studies in Business Chinese writing,as well as some renowned textbook evaluation theories;Chapter 3 introduces specific and comparative analysis presented herein to four textbooks and analyzes and compares the characteristics and disadvantages of each of the four textbooks,and the instructions for these;Chapter 4 is lateral alignment analysis added to the Business English writing textbooks,with the sole aim of making the paper more acceptable;Chapter 5 gives suggestions and instructions to newly compiled textbooks in Business Chinese writing;Chapter 6 summarizes this paper.
