Objective:To observe and investigate the clinical development of nearly20years of acupuncture treating flaccidity syndrome, is intended to reflect the fire needle therapy advantage, and to guide the clinical treatment.Methods:Consulting the ancient literatures of fire needle and flaccidity syndrome related, from naming, development process, principle and clinical application to summarize fire needle, and from the naming, origin, etiology and pathogenesis, clinical manifestation and syndrome differentiation to summarize flaccidity syndrome; searching Modern literature in recent20years related to fire needle treating flaccidity syndrome, from the fire, fire needle combined with acupuncture, acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture combination therapy of these four aspects of summarize the clinical progress of fire needle therapy to flaccidity syndrome.Results:Fire needle with filiform needle is effective in the treatment of flaccidity syndrome, but the curative effect is better than that of filiform needle; it will enhance its clinical effect and shorten the course of treatment, when adding fire needle therapy to treat flaccidity syndrome.Conclusion:In the treatment of flaccidity syndrome, fire needle is a kind of acupuncture methods can not be ignored, worthy of further study.
