Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis is a common and frequently reoccurring disease that is consulted in most Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic in Taiwan.This disease are commonly diagnose in elderly. With the rapid modernization, higher workload and pressure are shouldered by the human being. The increase and wide popularity on the usage of mobile phone, computer, IT related products are also contributing to the increase trend that more younger age range of patients are visiting the TCM Clinic with Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis over the years.Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis is the early sign to the development of other serious degree of Cervical Spondylosis. There is a need to prevent and treat this early stage Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis.Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis is also termed as Arthralgia Syndrome or Pathogenic factors in TCM clinical study. In the Western medical study, the usage of X-ray is used in the early detection stage for hyperosteogeny and curvature change.The TCM prescription namely Puerariae Decoction created by the great TCM physician Mr Zhang ZhongJing that is recorded in the treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases is used for the cure for the expel of evils in the muscles by means of diaphoresis, upgrade of body fluid, relax of muscles and vessels, sending up the lucid yang and especially useful for the cure of mild-cold due to exogenous evils that caused the blockage of the governor meridians.This article is an overview on how Puerariae Decoction is used together with the TCM massage (Tui-Na) to achieve medical recovery effect on the Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis. Over60clinical researches have been conducted and results had shown significantly that the Pueraria Decoction works well with the TCM massage (Tui-Na). The successful cases are favorable with the patient going through the physiotherapy under the professional guidance and advice from the physiotherapists.Therefore, this article summarized the study on how the Puerariae Decoction is used in the epidemiological research in TCM that relates between cervical cord, organs and the meridians. This article also touches on the western medical in regards to the cause of Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis. The TCM clinical research also undergo the knowledge and theoretically development of using Puerariae Decoction in the treatment for Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis. With the clinical experiment by the therapy group using both the Puerariae Decoction and the TCM massage (Tui-Na) on60cases versus the control group purely using the TCM massage (Tui-Na) method on the30cases to treat Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis. The results showed that the total effective rate of the therapy group is98.3%, surpass the control group which is80.0%. The patient statisfactory survey under the therapy group is far better than the control group including the Numerical Pain Rating Scale results.Lastly, we are quite certain that the patient recovery are faster and shorter from the Cervical type of Cervical Spondylosis, with better awareness of self-recovery from illness, increase level of recovery satisfaction and results can be achieved by using both the Puerariae Decoction together with the TCM massage (Tui-Na).
