This paper builds a three-dimensional model of the target and background according to the basic method of building a three-dimensional model, studies the temperature distribution of target and background combined with the heat balance equation, obtains the mathematical model of infrared radiation of target and background by Planck equation in the specific spectral range. Meanwhile, influence of atmospheric radiation on the scene was researched from the structure of the atmosphere and a transport model of the atmosphere was created combined with MAT. From the perspective of an infrared imaging system imaging principle and process, the optical model and the noise model of the detector have been studied.Based on the idea of "three-dimensional model and texture mapping", a software-based Vega infrared target simulation platform was completed. Firstly, a three-dimensional geometric model of the target and background was builded with MultiGen Creator software for three-dimensional modeling technology, especially hierarchical modeling technique, LOD and DOF technology for a OpenFlight generic model database file. In order to ensure reliability and fidelity of the simulation, visible image will be mapped to the models, to be realistic, vivid3D models. Then a simulation of the target and the background radiation characteristics was obtained, through the study of MultiGen-Paradigm Vega visual simulation technology and each surface element of a three-dimensional model associating with the radiation characteristics of the material with TMM, followed by the completion of radiation characteristics of the atmospheric simulation in MAT. Finally, the detector simulation and the visual noise simulation was accomplished based on SensorVision and SensorWorks. This essay presents a method of improved Hausdorff distance to evaluate the mid-and far-infrared infrared stealth effect based on a software Vega infrared target simulation platform having with a infrared simulation and analysis technique. This means was that some infrared images of a tank before and after stealth were obtained by simulation platform, having analyzed images for the improved Hausdorff distance characterizing the difference between tank target image features before and after the stealth. If improved Hausdorff distance increases, the greater the difference between the images, indicating the better effect of the tank after camouflage. This method effectively combines the simulation with analysis, compared to the traditional method of use of the observers’experience to determine is more objective, accurate and effective.
