The technique of interactive visualization of landscape has been born upon computer graphic technology, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and network technology, it has played a more and more important role in research on geographic environment. But the simulation of geographic information on the scale of space-time is becoming difficult relatively because the figure and dimension of geographic information are detached respectively. This paper use the superiority of Virtual Reality in simulating virtual landscape to construct interactive visualization of landscape, on ground of it`s special topography and physiognomy, by transferring data form. To reflect land surface more realistically, high resolution imagery-TM after processing has been used as texture for superposition onto the DEM, the final realistic result can meet our demands. At last, the interactive navigating system has been implemented by use of VC++ and Vega. We have simulated three-dimensional navigating and different environmental effect. Besides, change of different scale terrain data real time has been implemented, which has figured out the problem of browsing singular scale terrain data in a virtual environment and provided a reference for the optimization of visualization system.
