Landslide is a common natural geological disaster and brings a huge threat to people’s lives and property, especially the sudden landslide, which occurrs increasingly. In recent years, great advantages in science and technology have been gained, especially the rapid development of three-dimensional modeling and visualization, which provides a lot of help for geological disaster study. Therefore, the study of three-dimensional modeling techniques and visualization methods for the landslide becomes urgent.The process of landslide research and the three-dimensional visualization are summarized in this thesis. Then the three-dimensional modeling techniques and visual simulation technology are applied to the study of landslide simulation. The three-dimensional modeling software MultiGen Creator4.2is used to create three-dimensional model of the slope, and three-dimensional virtual reality simulation software Vega Prime5.0is utilized to simulate the model established previously. The analyzed data is extracted from the monitoring site and is used to define the simulation path. Then the dynamic process of the entire landslide sliding is simulated. Finally, some problems and solutions met in the process of modeling and simulation are discussed in the thesis. The entire dynamic process of landslide is fully demonstrated, which has important practical significance to raise awareness of the landslide.At the same time, by comparing with the traditional control method of landslide, a dynamic comprehensive method for landslide control is discussed, and the control measures taken in this thesis are expounded to draining surface water and groundwater with anti-slide piles to reduce the top load and backfill the foot of the slope and so on. Through this simulation system, the landslide sliding displacement is simulated in the case of continuous rainfall and the installation of anti-slide pile. By these control measures, more useful results, which have certain reference values for the actual prevention and control of landslide, are obtained.
