The Research For Epitaphs And Biographies Concerning Huizhou Puxue Scholars In Jiang Yong, Dai Zhen, And Cheng Yaotian As Examples

In the development of Chinese traditional academic,"Puxue" appeared to be the mainstream in the Qing Dynasty. In Chinese traditional culture, epitaphs and biographies have very important significance to the study of an individual’s life experience, and are also the important resources of historical research.This paper mainly research epitaphs and biographies of Huizhou Puxue scholars of the Qing Dynasty. Due to the large number of Huizhou Puxue scholars of the Qing Dynasty and the paper space limitations, this paper cannot collect and research all the epitaphs and biographies about them. So I chose three representative Huizhou scholars, including Jiang Yong, Dai Zhen, and Cheng Yaotian.This paper contains the following parts:The introduction part briefly introduces the writing cause, the general situation of related academic research in recent year, the research value and significance of this thesis introduces, as well as research ideas and methods.The main part of the thesis consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the General. The first section is a form of various kinds of relevant epitaphs and biographies. The second section describes development of the Huizhou Puxue scholar of the Qing Dynasty.The second chapter discusses about the epitaphs and biographies related to Jiang Yong. The first section describes the life story of Jiang Yong based on the introduction of these epitaphs and biographies. The second section introduces Jiang Yong’s academic specialties. The third section describes the distribution and evolution of Jiang Yong’s academic.The third chapter discusses about the epitaphs and biographies related to Dai Zhen. The first section describes the life story of Dai Zhen based on the introduction of these epitaphs and biographies. The second section introduces Dai Zhen’s academic thoughts and philosophy. The third section describes how Dai Zhen inherited and developed Jiang Yong’s academic. The fourth section explains Dai Zhen’s position in the academic history.The fourth chapter discusses about the epitaphs and biographies related to Cheng Yaotian. The first section describes the life story of Cheng Yaotian based on the introduction of these epitaphs and biographies. The second section describes how Cheng Yaotian inherited and developed Jiang Yong’s academic. The third section briefly introduces Ling Tingkan and his student’s situation.The conclusion part summarizes the significance, characteristics and innovations of this paper. Also, it points out some shortcomings and defects that need to be researched.
