Qing Dynasty Scholar Ren Zhaolin’s Life And Academic Research

During the Qianjia period,a large number of first-class scholars emerged in the academic circle,such as Hui Dong,Dai Zhen,Qian Daxin,Wang Mingsheng,etc.They have the same academic idea,together constitute the Qianjia textual study school.So far,the research on the representative figures in the group of Qianjia textual studies has been quite mature,but the lower level scholars in the Qianjia school are seldom paid attention to.Ren Zhaolin,the object of this paper,is the representative of this group.In Qing Dynasty,although Ren Zhaolin’s academic influence was less than that of first-class scholars,he was not unknown.His name can be seen in a variety of scholar biographies compiled by Qing people,and some of his academic works were also cited by the current and later world.At present,the academic research is limited to his relationship with female poetry society.This paper will make a comprehensive survey of Ren Zhaolin’s works in order to accurately reveal his life and scholarship.Through the case study of Ren Zhaolin,we can more intuitively understand and grasp the way of medical treatment,ideological status and academic characteristics of the lower intellectuals during the Qianjia period.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part investigates Ren Zhaolin’s era and regional background,and sorts out his family and friends.Ren Zhaolin was born in Suzhou,an economic and cultural center at that time.His family worship Wenyi,profound family learning,quite famous in the local.In addition,the more he met and near suzhou region of leading scholars,such as qian da-xin,Wang Mingsheng,luven Chao,Ruan Yuan and others.It is not difficult to imagine that factors such as time,region,family and friends have influenced the direction of Ren Zhaolin’s life path.The second part narrates all of Ren Zhaolin’s works,explores the editions,descriptions and contents of each book in detail,and gives an overview of Ren Zhaolin’s academic situation.The third part focuses on the analysis of Ren Zhaolin’s study of classics.Ren Zhaolin is a scholar,the study of classics as a lifelong ambition.This part takes his sutras and works on the Five Classics as the object of investigation and discusses his research on the five classics.The fourth part summarizes Ren Zhaolin’s academic characteristics and contributions.Although Ren Zhaolin was influenced by his family’s study in the Song Dynasty,he chose the path of Sinology study and succeeded in joining the Sinology camp.In addition,as a lower class scholar,Ren Zhaolin played an important role in grassroots governance and local cultural development.The rest part of the current academic circle about Ren Zhaolin image characteristics of the problem is discussed again.In the previous studies,it is regarded as the high recluse stream who worship the hidden and worship the Tao.Through a comprehensive examination of Ren Zhaolin’s family style,influence and life,his real image is quite different from that of a hermit.The appendix is Ren Zhaolin friends list,Ren Zhaolin works list.
