Since the new era with rapid development of Chinese film, there are many excellent films. But in these movies the feminine image, is very attract sb.’s attention. Their sad experience, also reflects the features of the age. Effect of Chinese film culture is deeply influenced by the traditional culture thought,"think that women are inferior to men" the thought is ingrained. Therefore this time creates the image of women, to a large extent by the constraints. In the male culture power today, we can see the image of women, no matter traditional women as an understanding wife and loving mother, or a passionate new woman and so on, are often according to man’s judgment standards to portray the description. Firstly, through analyzing the types of the new period female image in Chinese films, hand through the portrayal of women development focusing on women, the other party through the female images reflect their shortcomings. It is difficult to relate their true inner thoughts in the male hegemony survival of women, women’s words power by ruthless deprivation, they always appear behind men in "the second sex". The genuine equality of the sexes, has not in the culture media platform. And the new period a number of female director’s rise, to a certain extent, not only enrich the female image on the screen, and they can dig deeper women themselves want and need, the female consciousness has been awakened. We hope to establish gender equality dialogue platform, let more splendid feminine images appear in front of everyone.The overall structure of this paper are as follows:the first part is the introduction, is a general research origin and the research situation on the paper. The second part is the history, the overall changes of women film in the new period in the image of the summary and analysis of the women, between the mainstream discourse in the image of the association and inheritance. From this part of the analysis we can see, the new period female image in the film is a cultural and economic development as the intrinsic logic driving, differences in the image of women in the new period film before and after, is actually the historic women different aspects of market economy promotes the show. The third part is the gender writing, namely for female female movie image analysis. It can be found that the female image of women in the movie, the more emphasis on women’s independence and value, but also permeated with the influence of the mainstream discourse, and gradually showing signs of fusion with the mainstream discourse. The fourth part is to discuss female art transformation. The fifth part is on the overall summary and theoretical analysis of the above four parts. The last part is the conclusion. In general, this thesis combines the several aspects of female movie in the new period, both historical summary, also have the case analysis, is a more comprehensive summary to the image of women in the new period film.
