Objective For further understand the present status of dietary nutrition and growth and development in7-13aged children of Yugur, Dongxiang and Han nationalities in Gansu. Provide the data for improving the children’s diet nutrition and other effect factors in the region.Subjects and methods According to the research purpose, selected the Yugur county, Dongxiang county and Lanzhou city as the site. According to the random cluster sampling combined with stratified sampling method and choosed a primary school in every site. Included84Yugur nationality children(39boys,45girls),82Dongxiang nationality children(50boys,32girls),82Han nationality children(50boys,32girls), a total of246people. Dietary survey was performed by the3-day continuous24hour recalled, food frequency method. Used the metre of body sitting height to measuring the vertical height, used the RGZ-120type electronic weight scale to measuring the weight, the readings are retained a decimal. The data used EpiData3.1software for double entry, used SPSS17.0statistical analysis. All the data passes the inspection of normal distribution, according to the different distribution to choice the corresponding statistical method.Inspection level: a=0.05.Results1.Dietary nutrition(1)Dietary structure:beans and products, the intake of fruit and vegetable is inadequate in three nationalities.(2)Energy and three supply material:the energy intake of three nationalities all are smaller than the EAR accounts for the vast majority, the majority of the energy provided by proteins in the normal range; the insufficient of the energy provided by fat and carbohydrate also have a large proportion.(3)Trace elements: the insufficient intake in Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2and Vitamin C in three nationalities; on the intake of Zinc, Dongxiang nationality is higher than the Han and the Yugur nationality. (4) The source of the protein, lipid and iron: the main source of protein, lipid and iron all are vegetative in three nationalities.(5) Beverage intake situation: in the drinking frequency of regular liquid milk, low fat milk, lactic acid bacteria beverage, vegetable protein drinks, fresh fruit and vegetable juice, fruit and vegetable juice drinks, coffee drinks, tea drinks, tea, sports drinks and bottled water, these three nationalities have statistical significance (P<0.05).2. Physical activityFrom the energy consumption, the boys of Han nationality much than Yugur and Dongxiang nationality (P<0.05), the girls of Yugur nationality much than Han and Dongxiang nationality (P<0.05)3.Body mass index (BMI)The emaciation rate of school-age children of Dongxiang nationality is higher than the other two, accounted for12.20%; the normal rate of Yugur nationality is the highest, accounted for20.33%; the highest rate of overweight and obesity all are the Han nationality children, accounted for6.91%and2.43%.4. The effect factors of body mass indexThe children whose family has good economic conditions, they have more rate of overweight obesity; children have a greater risk in their adolescence for become overweight and obesity when they have lower birth weight or high birth weight; children also have more risk at overweight or obesity if they have less physical activities.Conclusion1. Family economic conditions, mother’s education level will promote children’s growth and development.2. Children have a greater risk in their adolescence for become overweight and obesity when they have lower birth weight or high birth weight.3. The intake of Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin C and Zinc less than the EAR, and the rate that the intake less than the EAR higher than3years ago.4.1n the overweight and obesity group, the frequency of milk intake is lower than normal group.5. Even the intake of energy and protein are reach the normal range, the growth and development of children is also likely to be thin or overweight, this means that in addition to the influence of the diet, other effect factors on the growth and development also can not be ignored.6. In the group of overweight and obesity, the time of physical activities and energy expenditure were lower than other groups, this means physical activity is also an important factor to effect children’s growth and development.
