Objective: To study the relationship between Weight, Height and Body Mass Index and Han, Uygur nationality in health postmenopausal women's BMD of proximal femur in Urumqi City. Methods: 235 Han and 264 Uygur nationality in health postmenopausal women's BMD of proximal femur influence were determined by duel energy X-ray BMD detector (Model lexxos made by DMS co. Ltd, France) in Urumqi residents. All of them were divided into low BMI, normal BMI and obese groups according to their BMI. Results: Both Han and Uygur nationality in health postmenopausal women's BMD of proximal femur increased with weight and BMI increasing. The BMD of same race of difference group have significant in statistics. Each index of the same weight set and different race have no significant. Conclusion: It is an important factor which affect BMD of proximal femur that both Han and Uygur nationality in health postmenopausal women's weight. The women with low BMI should be measured BMD on schedule for intervening earlier.
