[Objective] To investigate and compare the malnutrition status of Miao and Dong nationality, to develop health instruction and provide science data for malnutrition intervention by mean of body nutritional indexes on the Miao and Dong nationality middle school students of age of 13 ~15 in Guangxi.[Methods] The samples were randomly chosen from the middle school students from 13 to 15 years old of Miao and Dong nationality in Guangxi, aged from 13 to 15 years old students by cluster sampling. The nutritional status of 1214 middle school students was evaluated by National Student Physical Health Standard. The nutritional indexes were record in EPIDATA3.0 and the data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0.[Results] ①The rate of malnutrition of the boys is significantly higher than the girls’ of Miao and Dong nationality from 13 to 15 years old middle school student in Guangxi. ② The rate of malnutrition of the boys from 13 to 15 years old middle school students of Miao and Dong nationality is significantly higher than the boys of rural middle school students of china. ③ The school canteens provide energy of food were lack of fats and vitamins but provide salt and carbohydrates was higher.[Conclusions] The malnutrition remain existence in Miao and Dong nationality middle school students from 13 to 15 years old in Guangxi, and the status of the malnutrition is variable in sex different development phases.
