Objeetive To discuss the distribution of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) syndrome differentiation of the patients who were diagnosed by colorectal cancer with liver metastasis, through a retrospective clinical data analysis. Methods Collect cases who were in oncology department of Zhejiang Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital from December1,2012to January1,2013, consult the material which were selected and record the detail of the liver metastasis situation and TCM syndrome differentiation. Then establish database and make statisties analysis by the statistical software SPSS17.0.Results According to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,181cases are selected, in which90cases with liver metastasis, and91cases without liver metastasis, the incidence are respectively49.72%and50.28%. The probability of occurrence of liver metastasis of colorectal well differentiated adenocarcinoma was33.33%, the low differentiated adenocarcinoma was56.14%,mucinous carcinoma was52.38%, undifferentiated carcinoma without metastasis. Occurrence and histological type difference of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer was statistically significant (P<0.05).90cases of patients with liver metastases from colorectal cancer at the age of29-40patients without liver metastasis,62patients with liver metastasis patients41-65years of age, the probability is48.43%,28cases of liver metastasis patients66-85years of age, the probability is59.57%, colorectal cancer liver metastasis and age difference is not the occurrence of liver with statistical significance transfer (P<0.05).90cases of patients with liver metastasis from colorectal cancer metastases in14cases, accounting for15.55%, multiple metastases in76cases, accounting for84.45%, left lobe metastasis in25cases, accounting for27.77%, right lobe metastasis in30cases, accounting for33.33%, bilobar metastases in35cases, accounting for38.89%. Spleen qi deficiency syndrome patients with liver metastasis have maximum probability (54.55%),followed by the liver and kidney yin deficiency syndrome (53.65%), interior accumulation of dampness and turbid syndrome (26.66%), colorectal cancer patients with or without liver metastasis of TCM syndrome type difference has statistical significance (P<0.05). There isn’t obvious correlation between the TCM syndrome differentiation and the histological classification. The TCM syndrome differentiation and the location of liver metastasis of colorectal carcinoma was not statistically significant, either the number of liver metastasis(P>0.05).There isn’t significant correlation between the TCM syndrome differentiation and the types of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer. Conclusion There lies obvious correlation between the histological classification and the occurrence of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer, the low differentiated adenocarcinoma is the most prone to liver metastasis, followed by mucinous carcinoma. There lies certain relationship between TCM syndromes differentiation and the occurrence of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer, Spleen qi deficiency syndrome is the most prone to liver metastasis, followed by liver kidney yin deficiency syndrome. and there lies relationship between the age differences and the occurrence of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer,66-85age group prone to liver metastasis. There isn’t significant correlation between the TCM syndrome differentiation and the location of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer. There isn’t significant correlation between the TCM syndrome differentiation and the number of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer. There isn’t significant correlation between the TCM syndrome differentiation and the types of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer.
