Objective:Determine the expression of transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1) andangiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ)in serum of38cases of bronchial asthma. Carry out thecorrelation analysis with total serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels and lung function.Explore the relationship between TGF-β1and AngⅡand study their role andsignificance in bronchial asthma.Method:Determine total IgE in serum of38cases of patients with bronchial asthma withenzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), which elevated total serum IgE ofpatients25cases,13cases of patients with normal serum total IgE,20healthy peoplein normal control group.Determine expression of TGF-β1in serum.Radioimmunoassay was used to determine TGF-β1expression in serum.Forcedexpiratory volume in one second(FEV1)%FEV1predicted,FEV1/forced vitalcapacity(FVC) and peak expiratory flow(PEF)of asthma croup were measured.Result:1. The expression of TGF-β1in both IgE elevated asthma group and IgE normalgroup [(264.04±128.07) pg/ml,(498.11±478.24) pg/ml] were lower than thecontrol group [(736.46±686.07) pg/ml], the difference was statistically significant,P all<0.01.2.Asthma group with IgE elevated, group with IgE normal and normalcontrol group, the expression of Ang Ⅱin serum [(427.48±230.63) pg/ml,(419.36±217.11) pg/ml,(525.00±152.52) pg/ml] were pairwise comparison no significantdifference,(P all>0.5).3. TGF-β1in serum has no significant correlation withFEV1%pre, FEV1/FVC and PEF (r=0.02, P=0.91, r=0.06, P=0.70, r=-0.05, P=0.78).4.AngⅡin serum has no significant correlation with FEV1%pre, FEV1/FVCand PEF(r=0.00,P=1.00、r=-0.27,P=0.10、r=0.02,P=0.89).5.FEV1%pre,FEV1/FVC and PEF of IgE elevated asthma group[64.46±25.77、60.66±13.30、4.87±2.26]and IgE normal group[56.80±23.89、52.67±18.56、3.38±2.33] showed no significant difference,(P all>0.5).6.The expression of TGF-β1and Ang Ⅱin serumhad no correlation (r=-0.004, p=0.980).Conclusion1. Compared with the healthy control group,TGF-β1expressed lower in thepresence blood of patients with asthma.2.AngⅡin peripheral blood has no significantcorrelation with lung function and expression of TGF-β1in peripheral blood.Therewas No difference of AngⅡ expression in peripheral serum between asthma patientsand healthy people, which could be explained that AngⅡmay play a major role inlocal tissue rather than in peripheral blood.3.The concentration of TGF-β1inperipheral blood can be used as monitoring indicators of the severity of asthma.
