Research On Correlation Between The North And South Female Students With Menstruation And TCM Constitution

Objective:Guidance by the theory of TCM constitution, the author uses the epidemiological research methods to survey on the menstrual status of female college students and the correlation with the TCM constitution. The main influencing factors as North and South geographical differences, including various of factors,such as environment,diet,personality, impact on the menstrual of female college students and constitution of TCM. The female college students from different regions (North and South),were analyzed tendentious constitution,to provide a theoretical basis for further research and improve college physical intervention programs. It is to develop appropriate preventive health measures and treatment methods for menopathy providing new clinical ideas.Methods:On the basis of literature research,the author used the TCM constitution discrimination tables created by Professor Wang Qi and self-designed questionnaire menstruation which investigated female students from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicin-e.The premise of equal amounts of samples,the subjects were divided into Southern groups and Northern groups in Qinling-Huai River as the boundary.Female college students were randomly selected1,800people (North and South900respectively). Then the author created the original database to analyzing clinical data of the two groups and the type of distribution of TCM constitution. The raw data were used SPSS statistical system for analysis.Results:1.The distribution of TCM constitution type is follow:Southe-rn:the peace constitution>yin-asthenia constitution>yang as-thenia constitution> qi-asthenia constitution>qi-depression con stitution>phlegmdampness constitution>dampness-heat constitution>stagnan t-blood constitution>specific-endowment constitution.Northern:the peacecon stitution>yang-asthenia constitution>qi-asthe-nia constitu -tion>yin-asthenia constitution>qi-depression constituti on> phlegm-dampness constitution>stagnant-blood constitution> dampness-heat constitution>specific-endowment constitution.2.Female college students of North and South,in the average height and movement,have much significant difference (p<0.01); in average weight,diet partial addicted(pungent,greasiness,bake,light), pressure, sleep quality and habits, sentimental,dysmenorrhea and menstrua-tion,there is a significant difference (p<0.05)3.In North and South,female students’contrast of gentleness and biased constitution is statistically significant in the following. Including partial addicted to diet or not (p<0.01),movement, pressu-re, emotions,sleep quality and habits, menstrual cycle (p<0.05).4.In North and South,dysmenorrhea in qi-depression constitu tion, yang-asthenia constitution, qi-depression constitution is signif-icant difference (p<0.05).Conclusions:1.The distribution of TCM constitution type is follow: Southern: the peace constitution>yin-asthenia constitution>yang-asthenia constitution>qi-asthenia constitution>qi-depression cons-titution>phlegm-dampness constitution>dampness-heat constitution>stagnant-blood constitution> specific-endowment constitution. Northern:the peace constitution>yang-asthenia constitution> qi-asth-enia constitution>yin-asthenia constitution>qi-depression constitu-tion>phlegm-dampness constitution> stagnant-blood constitu tion>dampness-heat constitution>specific-endowment constitution.2.In contrast of North and South,there are no significant differences in the menstrual cycle,age at menarche,menstrual quantity and quali-ty,and menstrual color.But there are significant differences in terms of menstruation and dysmenorrhea, Dysme norrhea is mainly qi-depression constitution in the south,and mainly yang-asthenia constitution in the north.3.A balanced diet, regular exercise, low pressure,emotions normal, good sleep duration and quality is in favor of shaping peace constitution...
