Prospectus Of Curing Service For Female Breast Cancer Patients

With the increasing of the incidence of breast cancer each year, and technology of treatment and rehabilitation levels in breast cancer is also rising in recent years. However, traditional medicine treatment is only focusing on drug treatment and committed to reduce cancer patients’physical symptoms and pain so that ignoring cancer patients’ psychiatric care during treatment, and can not fundamentally eliminate patients’concerns about future life. Learning from the experience of cancer treatment and related clinical social work practice model, China’s medical social work in recent years has evolved into orbit, which opens a new direction for psychological and social treatment of breast cancer patients. The project takes Wuhan Central Hospital for example, focus on breast cancer patients and their families’psychological and demand characteristics, from breast cancer patients, families, and interact with healthcare professionals, such as multi-level, multi-angle, to analyze, discuss the problems they faced. We strive to provide support service for patients, families and health care professionals to improve breast cancer treatment environment radically, promote treatment method of breast cancer patients, and make cancer patients live with more quality and dignity.This project strives to combine medical social work with rehabilitation of women with breast cancer in order to make them have effective integration. Medical social workers mainly use the methods of casework, group work and community work, and also with the help of medical staff and volunteers to involve in the rehabilitation of patients with breast cancer. The methods and the help of medical staff and volunteers are cross-used in the psychological rehabilitation and subsequent rehabilitation guidance activities.Include the following three aspects:1) Casework, to emotions and adjust psychology of the patients with severe emotional contrast emotion.2) Group work, to appease the families of patients on psychology,and teach them rehabilitation knowledge;3) Community work, to expand professional community rehabilitation services to the patients who has returned to the community. The service objects of the project not only include the patients being treated for breast cancer and the community residents who have been discharged from the hospital, being in the recovery, but also include the family members of patients and the medical staff. The project organizes campaigns to teach community residents knowledge about how to prevent breast cancer. The involving of medical social worker in the rehabilitation services for patients with breast cancer aims to improve and expand the basic ideas of this work, and explore a set of localized medical social work methods, promote the professional development of social work in the medical field.
