| Diabetes (Diabetes Mellitus, DM) is a common metabolic endocrine disease caused by the interaction of genetic and environmental factors which the basic characteristic is long-term elevated blood glucose level. Type2diabetes (Type2Diabetes, T2DM),is accounted for more than90%of patients.My mentor, Professor Chen Feng, based on many years of clinical experience of traditional Chinese medicine, consider the disease in "Xiao Ke" category, the causes are the lack of endowment, excessive work and rest, emotional disorders. Professor Chen Feng uses "Diabetes group acupoints" to treat this disease, the main acupoints compose:both sides Quchi (LI11),Hegu (LI4), Zusanli (ST36), Xiajuxu (ST39), Sanyinjiao (SP6),Taixi (KI3),Guanyuan (RN4), Qihai (RN6), Suliao (DU25). It is a deficiency of Yin, exteriorly, it features dryness and heat. The main effects of acupoints are invigorating Qi and nourishing Yin, clear stomach and produce saliva, reinforce the kidney.ObjectiveClinical study on the life quality of Type2diabetes through before and after comparison test design method to objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture "Diabetes groupacupoints"Methods40patients with type2diabetes in patients taking the original drug, diet and exercise the same case, all patients with acupuncture "Diabetes group acupoints", the take both side Quchi (LI11),Hegu (L14), Zusanli (ST36), Xiajuxu (ST39), Sanyinjiao (SP6),Taixi (KI3),Guanyuan (RN4), Qihai (RN6), Suliao (DU25). The treatment would be done once a day except weekends for2weeks, with two followup surveys in1months.The results1, after treatment there is significant reduction (statistical difference P<0.05) of DSQL Rating scores. That indicates acupuncture "Diabetes group acupoints " significantly improve the quality of life of type2diabetes;2, after treatment DSQL Rating scores has declined, the difference by the paired Wilcoxon rank sum test, and treatment of physiological function dimension scale before and after the test, mental/psychological dimension, social relations dimension, the treatment of the four dimensions of the dimensions rated values were highly significant statistical difference P value (four dimensions both P<0.01), the acupuncture "Diabetes acupoints can significantly improve the physiological function of patients with type2diabetes, mental/psychological state, social relations handling capacity, and can be reached on the treatment of type2diabetes;3, patients with diabetes-specific quality of life scale score total score and after treatment, the difference between the total scores at follow-up compared after the t-test, P>0.05, the difference was not statistically significant, indicating that this treatment program to improve diabetes-specific The quality of life of long-term results;4, prior to treatment, fasting blood glucose, postprandial2h higher than the normal rate of30%,35%, and after treatment for5%,7.5%, and no cases of hypoglycemia reaction in the course of treatment.
