Clinical Observation Of Distal Needling Combined With Acupoint Application Therapy In Treating Bell’s Palsy

Objective:To research the therapeutic effect of distal needling combined with acupoint application therapy in treating Bell’s palsy.Methods:150cases of Bell’s palsy were randomly divided into the observation grop、the control group1and control group2,50cases in each group. The observation group was treated with distal needling combined with acupoint application therapy. The control group1was treated by the routine acupuncture. The control group2was given the routine medication.2weeks was a treatment course, and observe the effect every2weeks. House-Brackmann evaluation criteria was used to assess the two groups of patients before treatment, after2weeks and4weeks of treatment. Use SPSS19.0for statistics.Results:1. HB scale scores were significantly different between three groups of patients before and after2weeks treatment, P<0.01. HB scale scores were significantly different between three groups of patients after2and4weeks treatment, P<0.01. HB scale scores were significantly different between three groups of patients before and after4weeks treatment, P<0.01.2. Compared with control group1and2, the total efficiency of observation group were significantly different after the treatment, P<0.05. Significant differences also exist between the observation group and two control groups in treatment course, P<0.05.Conclusion:1. Distal needling combined with acupoint application therapy, routine acupuncture and western medicine can treat the clinical symptoms of patients with Bell’s palsy, but therapeutic effect of distal needling combined with acupoint application therapy is more effective than the others.2. Distal needling combined with acupoint application therapy can promote the recovery of the facial nerve, shorten the course of treatment.3. Distal needling therapy and acupoint application therapy can complement each other, so it is worthy of promotion.
