Objective:Hypothyroidism is the most complications of hyperthyroidism131Itherapy,but the mechanism is unclear and it is lack of the interventions. So it isthe main topics of131I therapy for hyperthyroidism clinical research. This paperdiscusses the influencing factors of hypothyroidism after131I therapy of Graves’hyperthyroidism. Methods:It was retrospective review of the patients with131I for GD fromJanuary2011to July2011at the department of nuclear medicine, the First AffiliatedHospital of Nanchang University. The190patients with Graves’ diseaseunderwent131I who were followed up for1year patients. According to the treatmenteffect, they were divided into3groups hyperthyroidism group, hypothyroidism group, cured group. Then we analyze the relationship between gender, age, thyroidweight, duration of treatment, whether accept antithyroid drug (ATD) beforethe131I treatment, the dose of the131I, the conversion rate of the131I,thyroidperoxidase antibody (Anti-TPO) and so on. The data were analyzed by SPSS17.0.We used the multiple logistic regression analysis to analyze the multifactorinteraction. Also we used one-factor ANOVA to analyze the single factor which caninfluence the final result among the different groups. Results: After one year,52%of the patients were cured,25%of the patientswere hyperthyroidism all the same and23%of them were hypothyroidism. Theresults of multiple logistic regression analysis shows that the dose of the131I, theconversion rate of the131I, Anti-TPO and the thyroid weight are the factors which caninfluence the occurrence of the hypothyroidism. The results of the one-factor ANOVAshow that the difference of the dose, the conversion rate of the131I,Anti-TPO andthyroid weight were statistical significantly among the different groups.Conclusion:1.131I is an important treatment for Graves disease. The therapy of131I is related to the dose of the131I, the conversion rate of the131I,Anti-TPO and thethyroid weight and is not related to age, gender, duration of treatment, whether accept antithyroid drug(ATD) before the131I treatment.2.The the incidence of hypothyroidism is positively correlated with the dose ofthe131I, the conversion rate of the131I and Anti-TPO,while it is negatively correlatedwith thyroid weight.3. In this study, the univariate analysis and multivariate analysis were used. Theunivariate analysis and multivariate analysis gap is mainly due to the interactionbetween the influencing factors after131I therapy for Graves’ disease. Multivariateanalysis can solve the problem that the univariate analysis can only study one factorevery time.
