Purpose:To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect and factors associated with therapeutic effect in 131I treatment of Graves'hyperthyroidism. Method: one hundred and nineteen cases were analyzed retrospectively, including gender, age, duration of the disease, serum T3 level, mass of the thyroid, serum thyroglobulin antibody(TGAb), throperoxidase antibody(TPOAb),the highest 131I absorption rate, radioiodine dose, drug therapy. Using PEMS 3.1 statistical software to analyze data: quantitative data with t test; qualitative data withχ2 test, Fitting logistic regression equation aiming at efficacy by multivariate analysis. Outcome: In 119cases,41 cure(34.5%),35 improve(29.4%),32 hypothyroidism(26.9%),11 ineffective(9.24%).Total effective rate 90.8%. The clinical efficacy mainly associated with mass of the thyroid and the highest 131I absorption rate (p<0.05). Conclusion: Radiodine therapy is an effective economic and relative safe treatment that can be used as the first selected treatment for Graves'hyperthyroidism. Mass of the thyroid and the highest 131I absorption rate can influence the clinical efficacy. Multivariate should be considered comprehensively from multiple-angle as possible as we can to make individual treatment protocols.
