ObjectiveTo investigate the expression and distribution of transcription factoractivator protein-2in Buerger’s disease.MethodsThe lumbar sympathetic ganglias were sampled in a total23patientswith Buerger’s disease between January2011and March2012in ourhospital, the gene and protein expression of AP-2in the lumbarsympathetic ganglias neurons was observed by RT-PCR and Western Blot, the law of distribution of AP-2in the lumbar sympathetic ganglias neuronswas observed by immunohistochemical methods.12nomal lumbarsympathetic ganglias from the unnatural deaths of patients were dealedwith by the same way.ResultRT-PCR and Western Blot results show that, compared with normaltissues, Buerger’s disease tissue AP-2gene and protein expression levelsare significantly different (P <0.05). Immunohistochemical result shows AP-2expressions in Buerger’s disease tissue are higher than the nomal, mainly distributed in the nucleus.ConclusionThis supports AP-2may represent a novel target for therapeuticstrategies and shows that an important role of AP-2in the occurrence anddevelopment of Buerger’s disease. |
