Objective:To observe the different moxibustion (direct moxibustion, ginger moxibustion, mild moxibustion) on experimental anti-inflammatory effect of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) model, to explore the effect to the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal cortical axis (HPAA) function of different moxibustion on treating RA model.Methods:Forty Japanese big ear rabbits, male and female each of half,2.5±0.25kg weight, were randomly divided into blank control group (hereinafter referred to as the "blank group"), RA model group (hereinafter referred to as the "model group"), direct moxibustion treatment group (hereinafter referred to as the "direct moxibustion group"), ginger moxibustion treatment group (hereinafter referred to as "lie between" ginger moxibustion group), mild moxibustion treatment group (hereinafter referred to as the "mild moxibustion group"), each group of eight rats. With freund’s complete adjuvant model experimental RA model, within7days after the building began to respectively with direct moxibustion, ginger moxibustion, mild moxibustion three different methods applied to Japanese big ear rabbit "shen shu","zu san li" hole, two side alternates,1times a day,6days for a period of treatment, a total of three courses. Before using a soft tape measure in building, and7,14,21days after treatment, respectively each rabbit left knee circumference. With ELISA double clamp method to detection of rabbit serum adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and corticotrophin releasing factor (CRF) and cortisol (CS) content.Results:(1) Compared with blank group, model group after building, the moxibustion group (direct moxibustion, ginger moxibustion, mild moxibustion) of rabbit knee circumference was significantly increased (P<0.01); After moxibustion treatment, the knee perimeter moxibustion group was obviously lower than model group (P<0.01); Direct moxibustion group, ginger moxibustion group and mild moxibustion knee perimeter was no significant difference between groups (P>0.05). (2) compared with blank group, model group, CS CRF levels increased significantly (P<0.01), the content of ACTH decreased significantly (P<0.05); After moxibustion treatment, the CRF moxibustion group, the CS content significantly lower than model group (P<0.01), ACTH levels are significantly higher than model group (P<0.05); The moxibustion group of CRF, ACTH and CS content was no significant difference between (P>0.05).Conclusion:Different moxibustion (direct moxibustion, ginger moxibustion, mild moxibustion) can significantly reduce RA model of rabbit knee perimeter, has obvious anti-inflammatory effect; Different moxibustion can significantly reduce RA model rabbit CRF, CS content, improve the content of ACTH, adjustment of HPAA functions, but between different moxibustion was no significant difference.
