Aim:To observe the anti-inflammatory effect of moxibustion on RA models; To explore the effects on the balance of Th17/Treg; To reveal the mechanism of moxibu-stion in the treatment of RA more comprehensive and in-depth.Methods:Thirty Japanese rabbits, male and female each of half,2.5 ±.25kg weight, adaptive domestication 1 week.They were randomized to blank-control group ("blank group"), RA model group("model group") and moxibustion treatment group ("treatment group"). The RA animal model was established by Freund’s complete adjuvant method. Before building(the first day) and on the 7th,14th,21st,28th day.1.To observe overall situation, to measure weight and back-knee circumference2.To detect the content of IL-10, IL-17 in the synovial fluid with ELISA, to calculation the value of IL-10/IL-17, to measure the expression of protein gene with RT-PCR,and to calculation the value of Foxp3/RORyt.Results:1.Moxibustion could obviously improve RA rabbits’overall condition,weight and remarkably decrease knee circumference.2.The test results of the content of cytokine in synovial fluid shows:the content of IL-17 is remarkably higher(p<0.01), IL-10 is lower(p<0.05) and the value of IL-10/ IL-17 is remarkably lower(p<0.01) in model group than blank group; the content of IL-17 is lower(><0.05), IL-10 is higher(p<0.05) and the value of IL-10/IL-17 is higher(p<0.05) in treatment group than model group.3.The expression results of Foxp3,RORyt in synovial tissue shows:Compared with the model group, treatment group’s expression of RORytmRNA were decreased (P<0.05),Foxp3mRNA had a increased trend, but no significant difference(p>0.05), and the value of Foxp3/RORyt also had a increased trend, but no significant difference(p>0.05).Conclusions:1.Moxibustion could obviously improve RA rabbits’ overall condition,weight and detect knee circumference.2.Moxibustion can obviously improve RA rabbits’ overall condition and knee swelling,which shows that moxibustion has significant anti-inflammatory effect.3. Moxibustion can adjust the balance of Thl7/Treg obviously.So,adjusting the balance of Th17/Treg may be one of the important mechanisms of moxibustion’s anti-inflammatory effect.
