Objective To evaluate the efficacy of solifenacin combined with tamsulosin in Double-J stent related Lower urinary tract symptoms. Methods Sixty-two patients received polyurethane double-J ureteral stents (6Fr,24or26cm),(male37, female25) Mean age45±13.2yr.A total of15patients were given no medication (Group1),16patients were given tamsulosin0.2mg once daily (Group2),15patients were given solifenacin5mg once daily (Group3), and16patients were given a combination of two agents (Group4). International Prostate Symptom Score/Quality of Life (IPSS/QoL) and Visual Analogue Pain Scale (VAPS) questionnaires were completed by each patient at Preoperative, One and Four week after the operation. Results One-way repeated measures ANOVA in the IPSS total score and obstructive symptoms score (P<0.05), a statistically significant difference. There was a significant difference in the control group and the combination group (P<0.05), tamsulosin combination therapy group (P <0.05)in total IPSS. Obstruction symptom score, the combined treatment group was significantly different from the control group (P<0.05). Irritation and pain scale (VAPS) there was no significant difference (P>0.05, P>0.05). Each time point group conducted a single-factor analysis of variance, the fourth week time point addition to VAPS rating, each score were significant differences (P<0.05, P<0.05, P<0.05, P<0.05). Particular, we note that all ratings only in the combination group treatment group had significantly lower. Tamsulosin group ratings for obstructive symptoms reduced. Reduce irritation symptoms score in the the solifenacin new group. Preoperative and after the first week of each group rating no significant differences. Conclusion The efficacy of solifenacin combined with tamsulosin was better in stent-related Lower urinary tract symptoms.
