With the social development and the advancement in the reform of advanced educational system, the number of enrolled college students is featuring a substantial growth. The employment of graduates is confronted with severe competition and challenges while the job market is increasingly tough. Grim employment status of graduates has become a major problem facing colleges and universities and also has become one of the focuses in the whole society as a social issue. To improve career planning and vocational guidance of college students, helping them to improve professional quality and job search ability as well as the ability of dealing with employment by offering the course of Career Development and Vocational Guidance for College Students (Career Guidance Course for short in this article) gradually becomes the core content of colleges and universities employment work, with no exception in medical colleges and universities.There exists eight medical colleges and universities in Guangdong Province. The curricula, teaching approaches, requirements and teachers of Career Guidance Courses are varied in each college. A considerable number of problems are revealed, which leads to an imperativeness in advancing the reform of curricula of career guidance in medical colleges and universities. Therefore, active discussion on curricula of career guidance for college students and construction of systemic, scientific, standard and feasible curriculum system are realistically significant for theoretical value and practical guidance, deserve to be researched deeply.This research is based on current research literature, making questionnaire surveys on the Career Guidance Course in medical colleges or universities in Guangdong Province, analyzing the common problems of current Career Guidance Courses of medical colleges and universities in Guangdong, raising relative strategies and propositions on improving Career Guidance Course in medical colleges and universities to provide theoretical basis for next stage of curriculum reform.
