Objective: To investigation the cognition, attitude and behavior statusand influencing factors in sun-protection of primary and middle schoolstudents and their parents in Chongqing, and provide theoretical basis foryoung students prevent bask in.Method: Quantitative and qualitative study methods are both used inthis study. Qualitative study: used purposive sampling method, follow theprinciple of “information of saturated”, conduct individual in-depthinterviews for fifty students,conduct nine teachers or school doctor,4fourparents, three sales staff and medical personnel for the key figures interviews,and conduct four groups twenty-two students in students. Application themeframework summarized and analysis.Quantitative study: Using stratified cluster random sampling method, atotal of6schools in were selected in Chongqing. Students were selectedfourth grade to senior grade three by class from schools, survey of2201students. Follow the principle of one-to-one, all parents of the studentssurveyed are required to fill in the questionnaire, and at the same time, the primary school students in grades1to3, though not survey, but their parentsstill need to fill in the questionnaire, the survey of2368parents. This studycarried out a survey using a questionnaire " young students is prevented baskin cognition and behavior questionnaire in Chongqing (including student andparent roll)".Using SPSS17.0statistical software for statistical analysis.Results: Results of qualitative study: the primary and middle schoolstudents, especially pupils know too little to the harm of ultravioletradiation and excessive sun exposure. Interviews found that about sunprotection option, girls prefer to use sunshade, sunscreen and a hat; boysprefer to wear a hat and sunglasses, but a few boys take any more of sunprotection in the outdoors when the weather is very hot. Interviews foundthat prevent bask in the knowledge of primary and middle school studentsmainly come from TV ads and the surrounding classmates. Parentsprimarily mother pay attention to children’s prevent bask in is, father isgenerally not concerned. Sales staff and medical staff hold for a positiveattitude primary and middle school students is prevented bask in. Schoolfor students is prevented bask in view of the point is to prevent heat strokein summer.Results of quantitative study: The average score of Primary andmiddle school students on sun-protection knowledge, attitude and behaviorare:8.21±2.14,6.76±2.91,2.94±1.76.The scores of knowledge, attitude andbehavior on sun-protection of girls (8.21±2.07,7.14±2.83,3.341.70)are significantly higher than that of boys (7.982.22,6.192.95,2.35±1.68)(P<0.05). The score of city students bask in the knowledge (8.27±2.12) issignificantly higher than rural students (7.95±2.14)(P<0.05). The sunburnrate of Girls significantly higher (61.6%) than boys (56.4%)(P<0.05); thesunburn rate of city students (55.4%) is significantly higher than ruralstudents (51.3%)(P<0.051); the sunburn rate of high school students (68.0%)significantly higher than the junior high school students (56.0%) and pupils(55.5%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Logisticregression: attitude, gender, history of sunburn and pursuit of image areinfluencing factors of sun-protection.The attitude score of mother on prevented bask in (7.18±3.05) ishigher than father (6.64±2.84), the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). the score parents attitude towards children on prevented bask in(7.41±3.45) higher than elementary school parents (7.03±2.65) and juniorhigh school parents(6.60±3.00), the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The sunburn rate of parents in different gender, urban and ruralareas, different stages of school-age students were no statisticallysignificant difference (P>0.05). The skin type test results of parents andstudentswere given priority to with typeⅢ, followed by typeⅣ.By logistic regression analysis found that the influencing factors ofstudents on are attitude, sex, history of sunburn, image, and factors onparents sun-protection has a history of sunburn, attitude and six. Through correlation analysis found that students’ knowledge、attitude and behaviorscores were positively pairwise correlation (P<0.05), and the knowledge,attitude and behavior scores of parents and the students’ knowledge,attitude and behavior scores were positively correlated (P<0.05).Conclusion: The knowledge of cognition degree is not high in primaryand middle school students especially in township schools, theconsciousness of sun-protection is not strong, should attach importance to.Parents, teachers, and professional doctors should combine comprehensively,to guide students to avoid excessive sun exposure, promote the health ofprimary and middle school students.
