The source of mao mei gen is roots of Rosaceae plants Rubus parvifolius L. and Rubusalceaefolius Poir. Mao mei is also known as se pao le、ya ying le、hong mei xiao etal,which is cool、taste joys,and can be used in medicine for detoxification、detumescenceand blood circulation promotion. Cu ye xuan gou zi also known as da ye se pao le、huzhang le、lao hu pao et al,which is mild、sweet and light,with the effect of erasing heat anddampness and stasia and stanching bleeding. The two species are so close related,that inGuangdong and Guangxi provinces cu ye xuan gou zi is commonly used instead of maomei. Our group selected cu ye xuan gou zi as the research object.Cu ye xuan gou zi,from the Rosaceae (Rubus),is woody lianas,it is rich in resourcesand distributed in Jiangsu、Fujian、Taiwan、Guangdong and Guangxi Province. Its roots andleaves can be used in medicine,to treat hepatitis、hepatosplenomegaly、diarrhea、enteritis、mumps、stomatitis、bruises、rheumatism、pain and other symptoms.Traditionally,it iscommonly used in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma,and is proved to be veryeffective. Therefore,studying the chemical constituents of cu ye xuan gou zi can helpdiscover the active ingredient in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinnoma,and toprovide new chemical entities as lead compounds for medicinal chemistry research.We study the chemical constituents of Rubus alceaefolius Poir..Eleven compoundswere isolated by using crystallization、recrystallization、silica gel column chromatographyand sephadex column chromatography et al,for nine of which the spectrum characters(1H-NMR,13C-NMR, MS) and chemical properties were identified.They were myristic acid(1), physcion(2),β-sitosterol(3), uvaol(5), betulinic acid(6), euscaphic acid(8), lauryl alcohol(9), ursolic acid(10), daucosterol(11). Compounds1、2、5、6、8、9、10were obtainedfrom the plant for the first time.
