Objective:In order to investigate clinical risk factors, clinical presentation andcoronary angiography features in the young with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods: We respectively reviewed70young patients and80old patients with AMIand70non-coronary heart disease (non-CHD) persons. All patients were admitted to thedepartment of cardiology, the fifth affiliated hospital of Xin Jiang medical University fromAugust2009to October2012and undergone coronary angiography. The clinical andcoronary angiographic features were assessed. Observed the relation between smokinghistory, family history of early coronary artery disease, essential hypertension, type2diabetes mellitus, clinical presentation together with laboratory findings, thus we cansummarize the clinical characteristic of the yong with AMI.Results:①The significant different risk factors between the two young groups were:fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, smoking history, essential hypertension, type2diabetes mellitus, familial history of earlycoronary artery disease were remarkably different (P<0.05). Applying Logisticregression analysis, essential hypertension (OR=5.795), type2diabetes mellitus(OR=4.528), familial history of early coronary artery disease (OR=2.892), smokinghistory (OR=2.136) are independent risk factors for the young with AMI.②Typical chestpain and prodrome was significant difference between the two AMI groups (P<0.01).However there were no significant differences between two group in the main type of themyocardial infarction (P>0.05), STEMI was the mainly type.③Normal coronaryaccounted for8.57percent. Single-vessel lesion, three vessel disease, the diffuse lesionsand the formation of collateral circulation in the youth group was significant differencethan the elderly group (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. The factors such as essential hypertension,type2diabetes mellitus, family history of early coronary artery disease and smoking history were independent riskfactors for the young with AMI.2. The clinical characteristics of the young with AMI:The onset of MI in young patients is unexpected with less premonitory symptom, chestpain of the young was typical, STEMI was the main type of the myocardial infarction.3.Coronary angiography revealed that normal coronary accounted for some proportion, andsingle vessel disease was seen more frequently.
