Objective:To observe risk factors, clinical manifestations, the characteristics of coronary artery disease of the young patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) and prevent young people from the earlier occurrence of AMI.Methods:226 patients were selected from July 2007 to December 2008 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical College. They were divided three groups:Young AMI group(age≤45 years,n=76),old AMI group(age≥60years,n=80) and control group(exclusion coronary heart disease to coronary angiography,age≤45years,n=70).The main risk factors(smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, positive family history of coronary heart disease, obesity/overweight and alcohol consumption history, etc) were compared in three groups; Young AMI group of clinical characters and coronay leson levels were compared with old group.Results:1.Among the young AMI group, there were 54(71.1%) patients with a history of smoking, 24(31.6%) hyperlipidemia,28(36.8%) hypertention,45(59.2%) alcohol abuse and 11(14.5%) family history of CHD.Each risk factors of young group obviously are more than the control group.2.Most young patients with AMI were men(88.2%).Excessive fatigue and alcohol abuse were the induce factors in the attack of AMI.3.Coronary angiogram showed that the young group mainly were single vessel disease.Proportion of 2 and 3 vessel disease in young group was obviously less than that of the old group(P<0.01).Conclusions:1.There are more risk factors in the young patients with AMI than control group.2.Family history of CHD and obesity are the most of risk factors. Most of them have typical symptom, less complication and better progrosis.3.AMI of young patients with acute onset, chest pain typical of angina pectoris more than control group. Most of them have over-exertion,alcohol and typical symptom, less complication and better progrosis.4.The vessel disease mainly is single vessel in the young patients.
