The Clinical Effect Observation Of Knee Osteoarthritis Treated By Internal And External Therapy

Objective:The research is designed to evaluate the method’s clinical effect Objectivelyand to provide theoretical basis for its clinical application by observing the improvement ofthe early,mid-KOA’s VAS score,clinical symptoms and signs,which belongs to blood stasissyndrome,and is treated by taking Zelan mixture orally and external application of ChineseMedicine.Methods:Deviding the80KOA patients met the inclusion criteria into control group andtreatment group,40patients in each group.The treatment group is treated by taking Zelanmixture orally and external application of Chinese Medicine.The control group is treated byinjecting sodium hyaluronate injection into the kee joint cavit.Five weeks for a course oftreatment.All the patients’ VAS score,clinical symptoms and signs integration are assessedbefore and after treatment,and analysing the relevant datas with statistical methods.Results:The control group losts to follow-one cases,39patients completed the studyaltogether.1case with additional medication-assisted therapy,and1case abandons this therapyautomatically in the treatment group,38patients completed the study altogether. Statisticalresults are as follows:(1)The tow grops’general information,VAS scores,clinical symptoms and signs have nostatistical significant before treatment(P﹥0.05),So,it is comparable between the two gropes.(2)All of the tow grops’ VAS scores after treatment compared with before treatment havesignificant difference(P﹤0.01). The tow grops’ VAS scores after treatment have difference (P﹤0.05),and the treatment group is better to the control group.(3) All of the tow grops’ clinical symptoms and signs after treatment compared with beforetreatment have significant difference(P﹤0.01). The tow grops’ clinical symptoms and signsafter treatment have no statistical significant(P﹥0.05).(4) Each of the tow grops’ clinical symptoms and signs after treatment compared with beforetreatment have significant difference(P﹤0.01).But through the comparison of each symptom and sign after treatment,The two grops’ pain or acid trapped discomfort at Night’s rest,rigid sence atmorning or increased pain after getting up,the degree of keen joint swelling,tenderness of thekeen,this four index have significant difference(P﹤0.01). and the treatment group is better to thecontrol group.(5)The total effective rate have no statistical significant after treatment(P﹥0.05).Conclusion: The method that taking Zelan mixture orally and external application ofChinese Medicine has exact clinical effect to treat the early,mid-KOA,which belongs to bloodstasis syndrome. Especially in improving the patient’s self sense pain and pain or acid trapped discomfortat Night’s rest,rigid sence at morning or increased pain after getting up,the degree of keen jointswelling,tenderness of the keen.And the security is reliable,cost cheaper.So it is worthy of clinicalapplication.
