Objective:This study uses the work skill and work style questionairs of O*NET job analysis system to empirical research the competences of clinical nurses at all levels, in order to provide reference and basis in selection, training, assessment clinic nurses and head nurses.Methods:Two questionnaires of O*NET work analysis are applicated in this research, Total616nurses from different levels in three tertiary in Zhejiang province were investigated, adopting tiered random sampling of method, and then using descriptive statistical analysis in each item and for importance sort.Results:(1) The important work styles of clinic nurses are social orientation(80.8%), cooperation(78.1%), integrity(76.6%), attention to detail(75.7%), self-control(74.6%) etc. The important work skills of clinic nurses are communication(76%), service orientation(72.6%), active listening(70.3%), coordination(65.7%), critical thinking(63%). The competence of Clinical nursing at all levels are broadly similar, but some contents, sorting, and the degree of importance are different.(2) Important work style and work skills of the head nurses and clinical nurses are similar, but some are different.Conclusions:The important competences of work style and work skills are identified and sorted in clinical nurses and head nurses at all levels, in order to provide reference and basis in selection, training, assessment of clinic nurses and head nurses.
