This paper firstly reexamines the interior design and future development of current commercial space under the background of multiple economy forms like internet economy, experience economy and green economy are appearing nowadays. It discusses the importance and necessity of changing the thinking style of the interior design in commercial space, and put forward a dynamic design concept of bringing multiple dimensions model thinking into the interior design of commercial space.Multiple dimensions model is inspired by the theory of Gestalt psychology, theoretical system of space, structural theory and four dimensions decomposition method. It believes that the interior design of commercial space is an organic whole. The interior space is not length, width and height that we see in three dimensions and it’s not its enclosure part either. The interior space is the abstract part that surrounded by those elements, and those abstract part is the focus of our study. Model-thinking in multiple dimensions of the interior design in commercial space is based on dimensions of function, environment and people’s activities, which can be built from principles of integrality, dynamics, multi-dimensionality, synchronicity, transformation, ecology and sustainable development. It also reminds people to pay attention to those dimensions that important to interior design but often be neglected by us. and summarize a systematic framework of elements that needs to be considered when design commercial space interior.Thinking in multiple dimensions model is of five features of complexity, nonlinearity, diversity, expansion and innovation.Multiple dimensions are universal phenomenon in the world. The interior design focus of commercial space lies in expressing three layers, which are physics dimension, mental dimension and society dimension. The theory of commercial space is constitute of multiple dimensions are pointed out through analysis and research. It means a lot in design when we put those dimension elements in one model system.This paper brings out a design idea that thinking model and construction ways of multiple dimensions are dynamic, systemic, multivariate, and holographic, which jumps out the box of traditional static design in three dimensions, and wider the view and thinking ways of design. The thoughts of designing in multiple dimensions believe that problems of relationships between human, space, nature and society should be considered in a background that including society, politics, culture and technology.
