With the comprehensive strength increasing continuously. China’s railway industry has been boomed. Meanwhile, the construction of railway stations is also ushering in another climax of development. As the city’s landmark buildings, the large-scale railway passenger stations have a great influence on the city’s style and features, layout, function and so on. And as the important transportation hub. the large-scale railway passenger stations are closely linked to tens of millions of people’s travel, and its indoor environment quality is directly related to the passengers’ comfort. Moreover, because the large-scale passenger railway stations are almost in the characteristics of high and huge space, its energy consumption and energy efficiency issues are very outstanding. Therefore, in the context of "people-oriented" and "energy-saving emission reduction".it is necessary for large-scale passenger stations to study on the post occupancy evaluation of "environment and energy".exploring how to evaluate the comfort level of the physical environment and how to build a comfortable physical environment for the passengers with minimum energy cost.The results of the study can provide a reference for future research and a certain reference to the large-scale railway passenger stations’"environment and energy-saving" designing and construction.This paper start with the concept definition, evaluation methodology, evaluation level, and domestic and foreign research present situation, of the post occupancy evaluation theory, elaborating the necessity and feasibility for China’s large railway passenger stations’"environment and energy" to carry out the post occupancy evaluation; and with the relevant theoretical research, discussing and studying the construction method of post occupancy evaluation system of the large railway passenger station "environment and energy saving" preliminarily building the corresponding evaluation system with the combined methods of subjective analysis and mathematical analysis; adopting the method of theory combining with practice to improve the evaluation system and finally complete the large passenger station "environment and energy saving" post occupancy evaluation system on the base of the field survey and data analysis to the Beijing South Railway Station, Shanghai HongQiao Railway Station passenger station and other8sample stations in April,2013; combining the evaluation index system to conduct the synthetical score method towards the environment and energy efficiency in the ten sample stations; preliminarily exploring the relationship between the terminal energy consumption and comprehensive evaluation of energy saving environmental, and proposing the guiding principles and the concrete measures of building the environment and energy saving system for the railway passenger stations. At present, comprehensive post occupancy evaluation of the large railway passenger station in such a space of specific physical environment and energy saving condition is rarely involved, this paper is centered on establishing the post occupancy evaluation system for the large railway passenger station "environment and energy saving", and its final objective is to propose the guidance to the construction or reconstruction of environment and energy conservation of the old or new passenger station; completing the application of the post occupancy evaluation in large passenger stations, not only reaching to goal of "design feed back design again" of the post occupancy evaluation, also making up the theory in this specific field of application of the gap to a certain extent; meanwhile, the first post occupancy assessment results and the physical environment and the proposed construction principles and measures of ten large railway passenger station will have an important reference value for railway passenger station in creating good environment.
