Research On Post-Occupancy Evaluation Of Distribution Space Of Railway Station

Mass constructions and operations of the domestic major railway stations advance the development of the Urban Rapid-transit Station Complex (transit hub architecture), and the combination of the associated volume of railway station room with the city as a whole enhance the status of station distribution. However, with quick input and quick output mode leading the construction projects has been more or less inconsistent between the design intent and actual operation. This thesis analyses the distribution of space using the POE, trying to establish a feedback mechanism based on the passenger inner feeling and behavioral needs at the city level to explore station front field, concerning integration of the architecture itself and its surroundings, and discussing the use and the match between build environment and post-evaluation system,understanding of the evaluation object on features, scope and specific serviceability, based on the concept, techniques and design influence of analysis and evaluation system, this thesis evaluates some present projects in quality and quantity, overall and individual analysis. It also discusses the project review compared to original design needs as a reference for subsequent project. It pointed out that it is important to the future of Chinese railway station constructions to emphasize the design philosophy and methodology of empirical science in architectural design.
