And take theresidential landscape construction of "Mountain stream· Happiness express" in xi ’an as anexample, analyzed the problems existing in the modern residential landscape design andconstruction. By analyzing the landscape engineering general situation of "express happiness"residential quarter and the landscape effect contrast before and after transformation, summedup the landscape construction of high plot ratio residential quarter should from the followingfive aspects. First, it must have practical applicability and functionality. The landscapeconstruction of residential quarter should satisfy the demands of residents, such as morningexercise, taking a walk, daily activities, chat and communication among neighborhoods, and so on. That is to say, residential environment should have place, clearing and convenience.Second, it must have ecological applicability. Another important function is to make up fordeficiency in architecture, such as adopting the methods of "covering, blocking, plugging,borrowing, rhythm, and meter" to landscape plants, beautify the space environment andenhance the privacy. Third, it must have ornamental value. The residential landscape is notpiled with stone and nursery stock; it should combine with the characteristics of the terrainand buildings to achieve the realm of "is by the man, wan since opening day". And theowners living in the residential quarter have the feeling of "because of memories revive at the,because of the scene". Forth, it must have the culture. The landscape with the culturalconnotation can let people produce daydream and forget themselves among the reinforcedconcrete. Fifth, it must have productbility. The landscape with productbility can let ownerinvolve in their residential environment and increase the fun of their life. Design andconstruct the landscape of residential quarter according to the five aspects above couldachieve the construction aim of small venues and large space, and meet the needs of highgrade resident on the environment.
