Study On Spatial Morphology Of Residential Quarter Based On Compactness Evaluation

In recent years,how to efficiently utilize land resources has become an important topic.Based on the foundation of compact theory and the historical experience and present characteristics of residential quarter in China,this paper evaluates and analyzes the spatial form of residential quarter from the angle of compactness,and probes into the quantitative evaluation index system of the compactness of the residential space form.The residential compact evaluation system is based on three basic dimensions of economy,efficiency and comfort.It not only considers the development of land efficiency,but also pays attention to the comfortable living experience of residents.The construction of residential compact evaluation system helps to evaluate the spatial form of residential quarters and inherits the concept of "people-oriented" and "sustainable development" in the design.In this paper,the compactness of the residential quarter samples in Nanjing is calculated.Through the quantitative comparison and analysis of compactness index,the relationship between the compactness and the spatial form of the residential quarter is obtained,and the optimization method for the residential space form is put forward.Firstly,the spatial form theory and the compact theory of residential quarter are analyzed and summarized,and then the compact index system is constructed based on the three source dimensions of the compactness theory.Finally,the compact degree index system of residential quarter is used to analyze the compactness of the Nanjing residential quarter samples,and the optimization strategy of the residential space form is put forward.Through the calculation and comparison of the compactness of the sample settlements,it is found that the compactness of the middle layer is not significantly lower than that of the high-rise residential quarter,and even more than the high-rise residential quarter.The middle and high level residential quarters are often developed for high strength,and the compactness depends more on the openness and the composite strength of the function.The middle level residential quarter should take advantage of its moderate spatial scale,design a pleasant open pedestrian street system,and increase the complex function of the residential quarter,then create a lively residential space.For the high-rise residential quarter,because of the large space between the buildings,it is difficult to form an open walking block,so it is necessary to take full consideration of the layout of the buildings to form a " local closed and integral open" overall pattern,so as to improve the openness of the residential quarter and the complex function of the function.
