With the development of economic globalization, market competition becomes moreand more fierce, the manufacturing enterprises are faced with more challenges, the productstructure is getting more complex and the demand becomes diversified, and the orderschange frequently, all of these cause the optimization of the manufacturing systems to bemore difficult, and also bring higher requests to production scheduler、dispatch andorganization.In this situation, traditional production management and dispatch technologiescan not satisfy the needs of enterprises’survival and development. The rapid development ofthe system simulation technology brings the enormous help for the complex systems designand optimization analysis which is an effective way to solve the planning and optimizationquestions in the manufacturing field. It is necessary for the enterprises to realize digitizationmanagement of production systems in order to bring them superiority in the intense marketcompetition.In this paper, on the basis of absorbing domestic and foreign-related research, key partsmixed production system of a marine diesel engine manufacturing enterprises is studied, toachieve optimize product process, predictive and analysis the workshop scheduling, identifyproduction bottlenecks, optimize the organization of production, improve equipmentutilization, shorten the production cycle, improve the workshop overall production capacity.In this paper, the research contents mainly includes several aspects as follows:(1) Summarized the status of system simulation technology development and study.Focus on the questions in the production operation of the key parts production system ofmarine diesel engine, this paper presented improving manufacturing management level ofenterprises by system simulation, elaborated basic principles, simulation content andinfluencing factors, then analyze the difficulties exist in discrete production systemsimulation; Finally, based on the analysis of several system simulation software,summarized the reason of choosing Plant Simulation as the simulation platform(2) Focus on the difficulties in the discrete production system simulation, three keystechnologies: object-oriented simulation modeling, complex scheduling policy determinesand simulation system analysis and evaluation are researched.(3) Take the key parts processing workshop of a marine diesel engine as applicationobject, at first, analyze many problems that exist in the workshop during production process. Then combined the workshop simulation needs, by the way of modularity and hierarchy, toestablish the two-dimensional and three-dimensional digitized simulation model ofworkshop and realize integration of simulation system control interface. At last, realize themodel dynamic running by using parameterized dynamic simulation, SimTalk programming,visual charts, numerical statistical analysis and other technologies, and statistic and analyzeof utilization rate of the key equipment, inventory of work in progress, capacity ofproduction.(4) Combine the simulation model with workshop production tasks in a certain periodof time, through run simulation, evaluation and improvement of product routings severaldesigns plan, predictive and analysis of workshop scheduling and production bottleneckanalysis are achieved. For the problem in the workshop production process, the optimizationplan is put forward. Every performance indicators before and after improvement ofproduction systems are analyzed, which prove the effectiveness of the adjustment programs.
