With the continuous progress of the modernization of science and technology,the competition among the enterprises is becoming increasingly fierce,by the previous quality competition and quantity competition gradually to speed competition,if enterprises want to preemptive a firm market,which is a very important factor to shorten the production cycle,improve production efficiency.Whether the facility layout is reasonable or not,whether the assembly line is smooth or not will directly affect the production capacity and production cycle.Therefore,this paper takes an enterprise of marine diesel engine assembly line as the research object,using the method of computer simulation modeling and simulation of the assembly line,to find out the existing problems and improvement or optimization.The assembly line based on one type of marine diesel engine as the research object.Through the analysis the assembly process of assembly line,the processing time,the assembly process of each workstation content and distribution was collected,and then through the analysis and comparison of various simulation software,simulation model is built using eM-Plant simulation software,and the credibility of the simulation model were verified confirm.For the actual assembly system,the assembly line imbalance problem,the bottleneck and buffer capacity were analyzed and evaluated by running the simulation model,putting forward two kinds of optimization schemes,one is to improve the assembly line balance as the optimization goal,redistricted the workstation under the condition of minimizing the production rhythm;the other one is to improve the buffer capacity as the optimization goal,the workstation about the serious phenonmenon of queuing was optimized.In order to improve the assembly line balance and the capacity of a temporary storage area,good results have been achieved,and the production efficiency of the assembly line has been improved.
