At present, marine engine room simulators mostly take traditional mechanically-controlled diesel engine as simulation objects. In order to adapt to development trend of the diesel engine, this thesis uses the electronically-controlled diesel engine as object, establishes models of the main engine and electric control section, and updates software function of the main engine imbedded in the marine engine room simulator.Based on MAN12K98ME marine diesel engine, the diesel engine volumetric model and hydraulic cylinder unit model are set up by using MATLAB/SIMULINK, including the cylinder working process model, exhaust manifold model, exhaust turbocharger model, intercooler model, scavenging air receiver model, fuel injection system model and exhaust valve and its actuator system model. In addition, since the traditional algorithm for zero-dimensional combustion model has many deficiencies, an improved algorithm that combines the simulated annealing algorithm and the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is proposed and then utilized to optimize the combustion model, so as to make the combustion model more accurate and reliable. The curves of related parameters of diesel engine are obtained from the model, including main engine indicator diagram, the changes of main engine speed, the main engine exhaust temperature, changes of turbocharger speed, pressure changes in scavenging air receiver and exhaust manifold, hydraulic servo system pressure changes, plunger lift and its upper and lower chamber pressure changes, etc. Finally, the Windows.NET platform, Visual Studio development environment and the C#are adopted to compile the simulation software of the main engine section in the marine engine room simulator, thus realizing the control of main engine electric control section and monitoring of parameters related to main engine.The simulation results show that the model can meet the real-time and accuracy requirements of the simulator and is able to carry out the operation and display of the main engine electric control unit. The model and software of the electronically-controlled main engine part have been used in actual marine engine room simulator.
