With the rapid development of economic, the effort of infrastructure construction inChina is gradually increasing. The construction scale of road transportation, airports, ports, hydraulic and hydropower facility, municipal facility and so on, is growing. Market demandsfor truck cranes not only of a great number but also with much larger tonnage. Thus theproductivity and also the manufacturing cost have increasingly become the focus of variousmanufacturers.Focused on the50tons truck crane with commercial chassis, the present thesis firstlyanalyzed the characteristics of the frame and the chassis, and then established the matchingprinciple between the above two structures and also the three-dimensional model. Based onthe main technical conditions and working environment of the50tons truck crane, typicalworking conditions were obtained. By using finite element calculation, subsequently, thestress status of both the frame and the legs were analyzed and a positive effect of theclapboard arranged lengthways in the frame on the mechanisms of total structure was shown. It was also proved that the frame structure of a box girder style is in accordance with theworking fulfillment of the truck crane, and that producing truck crane with commercialchassis is possible from the perspective of satisfying the working conditions.Meanwhile, the stress status of the legs was further analyzed. We adopt a design methodof vulnerable to strong to optimize the structure. By using the finite element method andanalysis of the stress state from finite element calculations, structures of inadequate strengthwere strengthened to adequate. Finally, the integral stability of the vehicle was verified inagreement with the effective anti-overturn conditions of the whole vehicle by analysis of thereaction forces in the legs under180°rotation.Based on the analysis, the present work provides a solid foundation for the application ofcommercial chassis in large and medium-sized truck cranes. Also, the conclusions of thepresent thesis would promote the productivity of truck cranes.
